Canadian Clinical Zoom Rounds for the Vetcare Team- Jul 7th - 11th 2020

EDUCATION LEADERS

OVERVIEW

Jul 7th-11th 2020, Online Tuesday Nights 7pm MDT

With years of teaching anaesthesia & pain management in both the US and Australia, Dr Margie McEwen brings to the VetPrac community something for everyone. This is an opportunity for you to drive the discussion and bring along the questions that you want answers to. Margie will start the session with some material focused on the topic for the week and then you and your fellow participants will have the opportunity take the driver’s seat. Perhaps you have a specific case that you want to ask about?  Or you have a question about a patient’s anesthetic protocol where you need to consider a medical process that is occurring too? Participant experience, combined with their own cases will fuel this discussion, as Margie facilitates and shares her experience and knowledge to help answer your questions. As a collective we will learn a lot together in a short period of time. This session has limited places and you will need to register through the link below to secure a place. Be fast, the places are filling quickly.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

You will revise :

  • Anaesthesia
  • Pain Management

You will develop skills in :

  • Clinical anaesthesia case management
  • With the amazing Dr Margie McEwen

TESTIMONIALS

"I LOVED her tute based learning system as it allowed me to study the night before and come up with questions I might have on the topic. Her mini quiz made me re-affirm what I had learnt the evening before and then by putting us into groups we weren't necessarily comfortable in I was able to hear other students ways of learning/remembering/understanding and then explain my ways to get to a
general consensus. I found her really easy to talk to and ask questions. When I came across her during rotations I was so comfortable and found her a lecturer that made me feel I could push my limits in the field and try more."

"Margie created a very encouraging learning environment and despite her qualifications and experience, I never felt she was disinterested or "dumbing down" the content. To me, this is extremely important to inspiring learning! One on one, I found she was very good at outlining a plan for each anaesthetic: not just with respect to drug choice, dosages and effects, but with giving a step-by-step account of what should happen and when."

"One of the best lecturers, encouraged us to brainstorm and think with the type of questions she will ask us when we ask her questions - good to not spoon feed all the time. Very systematic and pace during lectures were spot on"
